Of all the Hawaiian islands, Maui, known as the Valley Isle, offers the most diverse scenery on land and sea. Here, nature is both raw and refined. You'll find th pristine, palm-lined shores you would expect in paradise, but also rich, red and black-sand beaches, and craggy seaside cliffs that overlook a never-ending ocean. All of Maui's beaches are public, but that doesn't mean you can't find a secluded cove or your own secret waterfall to hide from the world. Maui will give you the experience of a lifetime.
The island itself caters to the senses. Whether you are looking for romance and relaxation, or adventure and nightlife, there is something for everyone. Picture yourself watching the sunrise over the great Haleakala… biking down a volcano, or hiking through lush trains and hidden caves… snorkeling with spinner dolphins and giant sea turtles… and wondering at the white waterfalls and the Seven Sacred Pools. At night, you can sail the seas at sunset, or ht the dance floor at a local club. Or simply steal away–just the two of you and sip champagne under the stars.
Aside from its breathtaking beauty and adventure, Maui brings you the spirt of aloha. In one definition, alo means "to share," and ha means love or friendship. Aloha, then, can be translated as "to share love, to share friendship."
Maui offers something for just about everyone. Here you'll find pristine white sand beaches, blue skies and turquoise waters… and dozens of water and land activities that will keep you busy (or relaxed) as you like. The best time to come to maui is the winter season which is November through April, which tends to have more rain (especiall on the North and east sinds of the island). But winter also brings the biggest waves and an annual vist from the humpback whales. The least ideal time of year to come is durring peak travel season – from December 15 through January 15 – when flights cost more and the beaches are busier. If you are looking to spend less on accommodations, the best time to come is between April and mid-December, when rates can be less expensive.
